Member Spotlight Video: Texans for Safe and Drug Free Youth

September 16, 2019

Texans for Safe and Drug Free Youth (formerly Texans Standing Tall), has been addressing youth substance abuse prevention since 1997.  By organizing adults, youth, coalitions, agencies and others, Texans for Safe and Drug Free Youth is moving statewide and local efforts towards systems change and improvement.

Texans for Safe and Drug Free Youth continues to educate local communities about the need to implement prevention strategies at the state level such as keg registration, raising alcohol and tobacco excise taxes, a statewide smoke-free law, as well as emerging issues that impact youth substance abuse such as alcoholic energy drinks and smokeless tobacco products.
