New Drug Impairment Training for Texas Employers Scheduled to Begin January 2018

October 31, 2017

Can your managers and supervisors identify an impaired employee in the workplace? We are offering a new staff-development tool (a 4-hour training program) to aid your employees in doing just that! Goal: The primary goal of the 4-hour Drug Impairment Training for Texas Employers (DITTE) program is to work with Texas employers, with the support of the National Safety Council – Texas, to educate their employees on traffic safety, specifically driving impairment, and to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries on Texas highways. The end result will be safer Texas roadways.

Who should attend? Health, safety managers/leads, wellness, human resource, public affairs professionals, business owners, as well as senior and executive management should attend.

Topics Covered: Your managers and supervisors will learn: · How to educate their employees on traffic safety to help reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related fatalities and injuries on Texas highways. · How to identify the signs and symptoms of impairment, including alcohol, illicit drugs and prescription drug use. · How to develop or improve a resource guide for drug policies, programs and practices within your organization.

Cost: This class is grant-funded by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). There is NO CHARGE to participants.
