Webinar: TxSDY – What’s Happening with Marijuana Legalization in Texas?

September 25, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm CDT

The landscape around marijuana policy is changing – across the country and right here in our home state. Chances are, you’re fielding this question a lot: What’s the deal with marijuana legalization in Texas?

It’s not an easy question to answer, but we’ve put together a panel of experts who will provide some background information and guidance on ways to address the issue as marijuana legalization efforts continue in the state.

Speakers include Clay Abbott (Texas District & County Attorneys Association), Frank Guerra (GDC Marketing & Ideation), Nicole Holt (Texans for Safe and Drug-Free Youth),  and Amber Trueblood (Texas A&M Transportation Institute).

During the session, panelists will discuss:

  • Marijuana consumption and legal cases in light of current and potential laws
  • Texans’ attitudes and behaviors regarding marijuana-impaired driving in Texas
  • Statewide survey results outlining the concerns Texans have about legalization
  • Lessons learned from marijuana legalization in other states

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback on some of the concerns they have in their communities.
